FAQ's

 

My child is not very well. When should I tell the school?

We would like you to telephone the office as soon as you know your child will not be coming to school. When your child comes back to school we will need the reason for the absence in writing.

 

How much are school dinners?

School dinners cost £2.67 per day. You can have a look at the menu on our Dinner Menus page.

 

Am I able to get free school meals?

You may be able to get free school meals. Information can be found here.

 

How will I know if the school is closed because of snow?

In the highly unlikely event that the school is closed, http://www.kentclosures.co.uk/ will be updated, the local radio stations will be informed and we will send out a text message.

 

Where can I buy school uniform and what does it look like?

You can purchase school uniform directly from our uniform supplier South East Schoolwear.  You can see what it looks like on our Uniform page.

 

If I need to speak to my child’s teacher, what should I do?

The teachers are always available on the playground at the end of the school day. In the morning please ask at the office or speak to the member of SLT on gate duty. If you would like an appointment leave a message with the office and arrangements can be made.

 

Should I let the school know if I cannot pick my child up after school?

If for any reason you cannot make it to school or you are running late, please let us know.If you are sending someone else to pick up your child, we will need to know who it is.

 

Where can I find out about the term dates and other events happening at school?

The link to the school calendar can be found on the website homepage. We also have our digital display in the main office reception area.

 

Is my child able to have free milk?

Thanks to government subsidies, school milk is free for all under-fives and is subsided at around £15 a term for children aged five or older. Click here to find out more.

 

Am I allowed to drive my car into the school car park?

In order to prevent any accidents, we do not allow cars into the school grounds. Please park considerately off site and walk your child into school.
